Until the end of this month, innovative start-ups are invited to apply for the second annual Start Up Energy Transition (SET) Award. SET was founded by the German Energy Agency dena and promotes innovation in the energy economy. Start Ups and young innovators from all over the world with ideas that will impact the global energy transition and climate change are invited to apply by 31 January 2018.
SET 2018 is looking for the best & brightest start-ups across the following categories:
- Low-Carbon Energy Production
- Intelligent Grids, Platforms & Cyber Security
- Energy Efficiency, Smart Devices & Storage
- Innovative Mobility
- Energy, Water, and Food
- Special Prize: SDG-7
While the energy transition remains a global challenge, it offers plenty of opportunities for young companies to make a difference – with innovative ideas, disruptive business models and being risk-takers, they can make change happen. The Start Up Energy Transition Award is a great chance to honor the best cleantech start-ups and nurture entrepreneurial spirit!

SET offers a unique platform to join & engage with your peers and global energy transition leaders , to find potential partners & to champion your notion in the Energy Innovators Issues Monitor. And if your startup is among the top 100 finalists, you will also be included in the „Global Energy Transition (GET) 100“ list, a yearly publication distributed to SET’s partners and investors. The top 18 finalists will be selected for a free trip to the Tech Festival in Berlin including pitch coaching, live pitches, investor-matchmaking & more… The prize for the six winners? 10.000 Euros each and much more.
